I can’t believe we have been home for over a week already! At least all the camping stuff got put away
Our first night in the tent was a cool one, but overall not to bad. It was chilly waking up, crawling out of my warm sleeping bag to sit up and nurse Olivia, luckily the fresh air helped her sleep better. Joy would wake, cry, then go back to sleep as soon as we would talk to her. I think she was just checking we were still there.

Our Tent set up
Monday morning we decided we needed to warm the girls (and us) up a bit, so we loaded into the car and headed to the salmon run. It was fun, however not very many salmon to see ~ guess the majority of the salmon have yet to come. The sun came out and oh did it ever feel good. We were even able to take off our jackets, and sweat shirts! It turned into a beautiful day!

Guess she found it boring...
Just after we put the girls to bed Auntie Twyla showed up, so unfortunately they missed seeing her, however we got a good visit in with her. We always have fun with Twy. Our night was a cold one again, but hey, that’s Camping.
Saturday September 11th, only about half of our camping supplies were packed ~ basically the bins which were packed with our camping stuff to begin with. I went for a late lunch with a couple girlfriends of mine (sushi!) and upon returning home Orlund informed me he wanted to go camping tomorrow (as in SUNDAY) instead of waiting until Monday. It was a beautiful day on Saturday so we got the itch to get moving. The problem? I was only half packed! and it was our 6year Anniversary! (Happy Anniversary honey, thanks for sticking with this crazy gal!). So I spent the next two hours going crazy packing until we headed out for a Sushi dinner (can never have to much Sushi!). We had planned to come home after dinner, nurse Olivia and put the girls down to sleep. My wonderful dad was babysitting for us (Thanks Dad!). Then head out again to go bowling and just hang out. Instead we relieved my dad and got on with packing.
Sunday Morning. It was pouring rain…..pouring…. But we loaded up the utility trailer and car and headed out! (Orlund wasn’t sure if we could fit it all, I told him he should be thankful I packed light!LOL).
Orlund threw up the tent which let us girls get out of the rain. While he set up our other tent (over the picnic table) I set up the two playpens and got the tent organized. It was a fun day, the rain let up eventually. We got all set up and ready for our week long trip. Here is the only picture I have from day 1 ~

Snuggled in sleeping.
You are my Sunshine
My only Sunshine
You make me happy when sky’s are gray
You’ll never know dear how much I love you
So please don’t take my Sunshine away

My Sunshine Joy ~ 1 day old.
The other night dear
as I lay sleeping
I dreamed I held you in my arms
When I awoke dear
I was so happy
There you were laying right next to me

My Sunshine Olivia ~ 1 day old.
I love the song, and I sing it to the girls however it just sounded to sad… so I changed it just a little
Watch for our Camping adventures ~ coming soon
Have you ever heard of a website that helps you get your house clean? Neither had I! In fact when I was first told about the website FLYlady.net I thought it was just to weird. However I read a few things on the website and now I think it’s fabulous! FLYlady helps you learn to FLY (Finally loving yourself). The first step in this long process (takes 28days to form a habit) is Shine your sink. You do this everyday. If your sink is shiny and clean then the rest of the kitchen tends to follow (gets clean) and if your Kitchen is clean it’s only a matter of time before the rest of your house gets clean. I personally have a hard time keeping on top of our house chores. It’s always been a struggle for me. However I cleaned our house good for a party we had here (for Olivia’s baby dedication) and decided I would keep our house in that order until Thanksgiving (by then I figured it’d be habit). I’ve done good… until this week.. The weekends always seem to get ahead of me, and this one is no exception. Actually I should be cleaning instead of blogging (but like I said it’s a fight for me). I love my house being clean. It’s just a matter of keeping it that way. And when there is something that you struggle with everyday you find you love yourself a little less when you fail at it. However this website helps you realize that your house doesn’t get messy over night (although with Kids it doesn’t take long), so you can’t make it completely spotless over night either. And even if you do it’ll just get messy again if you don’t keep on top of it. I’m really enjoying FLYing, It makes me feel good. (sorry about the pun). My living room is chaos, and the kitchen needs tiding but with 15minutes (or less) in each and I’ll have them good as…they can be
If you feel like you could use a ‘pick-me-up’ in the FLYing department, check out the website. The trick is not to get stuck on the website and not get any FLYing in!
Joy’s new two favorite words “I do”.
“Do you want to go on the potty?” “I do”.
“Do you want some food?” “I do”.
“Do you want to go to bed?” “NO”. lol.
Anything you ask her (that she wants to do) is answered with “I do”. It’s cute, although her manners have been slipping some. That’s more our fault for letting it slide.
Another ‘fun’ adventure is Joy has finally figured out how to climb into the crib. It’s great for in the morning, when Olivia is awake and just needs entertainment (gives me a few more minutes). Joy can’t get out of the crib either so that keeps them both busy. Smile.
Joy had nightmares the other night, and well since then doesn’t seem to want to sleep in her own bed. Poor girl. For nap time yesterday I ended up taking Olivia out (since Joy kept waking her up) and left Joy to sleep in the crib. (Olivia and I got in some good snuggling). Then at night around 11pm I went in to feed Olivia, I had just gotten out of the shower so Orlund had picked her up. I went in nursed her then as I put her in her bed I felt something strange. I was curious what it was as Joy often ‘gives’ things to Olivia (like picture frames, books, shoes, you know ‘fun’ stuff to sleep with). So I pulled the curtain back letting the moon light filter into the bedroom. There curled up with her bum against Olivia’s was Joy. Fast asleep. I was tempted to leave her, but I happen to know Joy moves around enough to worry for Olivia’s safety. I put Joy in her own bed and she slept great! Nap time today, Orlund was able to finally convince Joy she should sleep in her own bed… we will see how it goes tonight.
